We left Salamanca early Monday morning. We were headed to France, but there were a few places to see along the way. We stopped in Segovia. This old village, located outside of Madrid, sits on a hilltop. There were two things of great interest there; the castle and the aqueduct, both dating back to the Romans.
The City
The Castle
The Cathedral
The Aqueduct
We stopped for lunch because it was getting late. We picked a local cafe right beside the aqueduct. We all enjoyed our lunch, but the most delicious thing we had was the gazpacho.
Six hours later, we arrived in Southern France.
