Memorial Weekend 2015

I love to put out fresh flowers, especially when I have guests coming in from out of town. I found these beauties at Trader Joes.

This is the most refreshing summer cocktail. 

Southside Cocktail: 

1oz lemon juice

1oz simple syrup

Mint

2oz Hendricks Gin

Club Soda

In a cocktail shaker, muddle mint with simple syrup, add juice and gin. Shake. Pour over ice, top with club soda, and add a sprig of mint. 

A festive cake. 

We enjoyed a late dinner at Boca Bay. 

We ended the weekend with Sunday night bluegrass at Satellite. 

Birthday Wish List

As my 30th birthday approaches, I have put together a little birthday "wish" list. 

iPhone 6

I have been using the same iPhone for over 4 years.  It barely operates.  If I make it until next Friday, when I become eligible for a new phone, it will be a miracle.

I would love this in the hunter green. Perfect for beach days or an extra bag for weekends away.

I love these little bracelets.  Great when layered in with your other jewelry.

Palm Pillows:

I recently re-decorated my guest room.  I would love two of these pillows for the guest bed.  

Mint Julep Cups: 

This is the quintessential cup for the Kentucky Derby.  While I love the Derby and a Mint Julep, I would certainly use them more often than just Derby Day.  These would make great cups for Sunday Bloody Mary's and they are even great when filled with fresh flowers.

Persimmon Candle: 

This is my all time favorite scent.

JCrew White Jeans: 

You can never have too many jeans.
